Prixm

Privacy policy

Last updated 2 November 2026

What Prixm and this website do with your information.

In the app

Prixm has no account and contains no analytics or advertising.

  • System audio. With your permission, Prixm analyses the sound your Mac is playing to follow the beat and volume. This happens on your Mac. The audio isn't saved or sent anywhere.
  • Now playing. Prixm reads the title, artist, album, artwork and playback position of the current track from macOS, to colour the light and show the player.
  • Lyrics. To find lyrics, the app sends the current track's title, artist, album and length to LRCLIB, a free public lyrics service. LRCLIB also receives your IP address, as any web service does. Lyrics it finds are saved on your Mac, so they don't have to be looked up again.
  • Settings. Your preferences are stored on your Mac. Deleting the app's data removes them and any saved lyrics.

On this website

This website doesn't use analytics or advertising cookies. It is hosted on Vercel, which processes technical information such as IP addresses and request details to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Purchases

When you buy Prixm, a third-party payment provider processes your payment. We receive the details needed to fulfil and support your order, such as your email address and order information. We don't receive or store your full card details. If licensing or download services are added, this policy will be updated to describe them.

If you email us

We use your email address and message to reply and to keep a record of support requests.

How we use and share information

We use information only to provide Prixm, handle orders and support, and meet legal obligations. We don't sell it. We share it only with the services described here, or where the law requires it. We keep order and support records for as long as they're needed for those purposes.

Your choices

You can refuse or remove system-audio permission in System Settings, but Prixm then can't follow the music. To ask about, correct or delete information we hold about you, email prixmstore@gmail.com.

Changes

We may update this policy, and the date above shows the latest version.
